Hi, I’m Kat Sanders is based in Beverley in East Yorkshire. I studied at University in North Wales and spent a number of years following my graduation working overseas in Iceland, the Seychelles, Caribbean and the South Pacific; including the setting up of an initiative called Bleach watch using recreational divers to report on incidents of coral bleaching.
I currently work for the Yorkshire Wildlife Trust as their Marine Awareness & Research Officer and look forward to talking to clubs in the Hull and surrounding area.

Hi, I’m Paula – I live in Yorkshire and love going diving and rockpooling on the North East coast whenever I get the chance. I’ve dived in some exotic places, but you can’t beat our coastline for the sheer variety of habitats and weird and wonderful creatures!
I work for a Biological Records Centre, so I see first-hand how information about wildlife and habitats collected by recording schemes like Seasearch helps to protect important areas from damaging activities and to make sure they’re managed appropriately.
Getting involved in Seasearch has really helped me to get so much more out of diving - it’s a great way to learn more about our fascinating marine wildlife and to help protect it!
I’d like to help more divers get involved in Seasearch, so do get in touch if you’d like me to give a talk at your club (and bore you with my photos!). I look forward to meeting you on dives, and I’m always happy to help with species ID and completing survey forms!

Carrie Pillow - Coordinator
Hi I'm Carrie - I live in York. I am very proud to be the coordinator leading the team for Seasearch in the North East of England. I have been diving for over 20 years and experiences lots of beautiful places, but my favourite places to dive are in the UK.
I am passionate about promoting our beautiful coastline on our doorstep, and our ability to play a part in conserving it. Seasearch has given me the ability to do this and learn about what I am seeing on a dive, which makes it all the more enjoyable.
I look forward to meeting and diving with you. Please don't hesitate to invite us along to your club to give a talk.
